Oleg Vitalyevich Chlewnjuk ( Russian Олег Витальевич Хлевнюк ; born July 7, 1959 in Vinnytsia , USSR ) is a Russian historian . He excelled especially with publications on Stalinism in the Soviet Union .

Since 1994 he has been working at the State Archives of the Russian Federation.
