The rowing competition in the men's eighth at the 2012 Olympic Games in London was held from July 28 to August 1, 2012 on Dorney Lake . 64 athletes in eight boats competed.

The rowing regatta, which was held over 2000 meters, began with two heats. The boats in first place qualified directly for the finals, the others had to go to the repechage . Here the first four boats qualified for the final, the others competed in final B to determine places 7 and 8.

The qualified boats are highlighted in light green.
