Lithuania took part in the Winter Olympics for the fourth time in 1998 . Seven athletes were sent to Nagano who competed in four different disciplines. None of the athletes managed to win a medal.

As in 1994, the flag bearer at the opening ceremony was the figure skater Povilas Vanagas .
