Omar Abdulrahman Ahmed Al Raqi Al Amoudi ( Arabic عمر عبد الرحمن أحمد الراقي العمودي, DMG ʿUmar ʿAbd ar-Raḥmān Aḥmad ar-Rāqī al-ʿAmūdī ; * September 20, 1991 in Riyadh , Saudi Arabia ) is a soccer player from the United Arab Emirates . The attacking midfielder is under contract with the al-Jazira Club and is a senior international .

Career

Abdulrahman began his career with al-Hilal in 2000 . In 2007 he switched to the youth of the al Ain Club . There he moved up for the 2008/09 season to the first team that plays in the UAE Arabian Gulf League . With the club he won the Arabian Gulf Cup , the Arabian Gulf Super Cup and the President's Cup in 2009 . In the 2011/12 and 2012/13 seasons he won the championship with the team. In the 2013/14 season , Abdulrahman made the most of the league with 16 assists . In 2014/15 he won his third championship with the al Ain Club. In the 2015/16 season , his twelve assists were again the best in the league .

In August 2018, Abdulrahman returned to his youth club al-Hilal. He has been playing at the al-Jazira Club since August 2019 .

National team

Abdulrahman played for the U17 and U20 selection of the United Arab Emirates Football Association. With the U23 national team , he won the U23 golf cup and the silver medal at the Asian Games in 2010 . In the summer of 2012 he took part with her at the Olympic Games in London , where he failed with the team after losing to Uruguay (1: 2) and Great Britain (1: 2) and a draw against Senegal (1: 1) as the bottom of the group .

Abdulrahman played his first game for the senior national team on January 2, 2011 in a 2-0 win in a friendly against Syria . He scored his first goal on October 16, 2012 in a 6-2 win in a friendly against Bahrain . With the national team he took part in the Asian Championships in 2011 in Qatar and 2015 in Australia . While he played twice in 2011 and was eliminated with the team goalless in the preliminary round, he only failed in the semifinals 2-0 to Australia in 2015 and finally won the game for 3rd place 3-2 against Iraq . Abdulrahman played full time in all six games.
