Onyekachi Donatus "Tico" Okonkwo (born May 13, 1982 in Aba ) is a Nigerian football player .

Career

The defensive midfielder began his career with the Nigerian first division club FC Enyimba , with whom he won the CAF Champions League in 2003 and 2004 .

From 2005 to 2007 Tico played at the top South African club Orlando Pirates in Johannesburg .

On June 26, 2007 1. FC Köln announced him as a new addition. On July 2, 2007, however, he signed a four-year contract with FC Zurich . The German second division team announced that under these circumstances they were no longer interested in Okonkwo.

In 2008 he was in Nigeria's squad for the Africa Cup of Nations , but was not used.

In the summer of 2010 he moved to Qatar to the Al-Kharitiyath Sports Club .
