Sister newspapers

Three other sister newspapers appear in association with the OGA. While the Hennigsdorfer Generalanzeiger is a classic local edition, the Gransee-Zeitung and the Ruppiner Anzeiger are editorially largely independent titles. All four newspapers achieve a total sold circulation of 15,699 copies. The local newspapers are printed in the Oberhavel printing house in Oranienburg in the Rhenish format .

history

On April 19, 1990, the Oranienburger Generalanzeiger was first published as a weekly newspaper on the initiative of Oranienburg municipal representatives, members of the New Forum and the support of the Westfälischer Anzeiger newspaper , which appears in Oranienburg's twin town Hamm . The essential core of the first editorial team came from Hamm at this time. The background to the re-establishment was the desire to create a counterweight to the former SED newspaper in the district, the Märkische Volksstimme . Despite the adverse circumstances of the period after the reunification, in which it initially z. For example, if there were hardly any telephone connections, the newspaper quickly found its readership. Since September 2, 1990, the OGA has been published as a daily newspaper from Monday to Saturday in its distribution area in the south of the Oberhavel district. Due to the required capacities that the new publication rhythm brought with it, employees from the region quickly mingled with the initially exclusively Westphalian editorial team.

Oranienburger Generalanzeiger, Hennigsdorfer Generalanzeiger, Gransee Zeitung and Ruppiner Anzeiger are published by Märkischer Zeitungsverlag , which has been part of the Märkisches Verlags- und Druckhaus (MVD) in Frankfurt (Oder) since January 1, 2011 . The MVD are among others the Märkische or newspaper out who designed the national part of the UCI. Before that, the newspaper belonged to the Westfälische Anzeiger Verlagsgesellschaft mbH and Co. KG and thus to the publishing group of Dirk Ippen . Until 2012, the shareholders of the MVD were each half the Neue Pressegesellschaft mbh & Co. KG (publisher of the Südwest-Presse ) and the Stuttgarter Zeitung Verlagsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG (publisher of the Stuttgarter Zeitung and the Stuttgarter Nachrichten). At the end of 2012 the Neue Pressegesellschaft took over all shares.
