Ordbog over det danske Sprog

The Ordbog over det danske Sprog (ODS) is a dictionary of the Danish language that exhaustively covers the development of language in the period 1700–1955. From 1919 to 1956, 28 volumes were published; between 1992 and 2005, five additional volumes followed. The work was founded by Verner Dahlerup (1859–1938); it was published by the Ordbogskommission of the Royal Danish Academy of Sciences .

The Ordbog over det danske Sprog in 28 volumes has been available on the Internet since November 2005, as part of the ordnet.dk project . The digitization was carried out by a company in Nanjing , People's Republic of China . The digitization model, which cost 800,000 Danish kroner , was based on the experience of the University of Trier with the digitization of the German dictionary .
