Greek for  Manetho Osochor

Osochor (also Osorkon, Userken ) ruled as the fifth ancient Egyptian king ( pharaoh ) of the 21st Dynasty ( Third Intermediate Period ) from about 984 to 978 BC. Chr.

Domination

After Manetho he ruled for six years and is therefore to be placed between Amenemope and Siamun . Manetho calls "Osochor" his proper name . Osochor is actually to be called "Osorkon I." This would mean that the kings of the same name would have to be renumbered.

supporting documents

This ruler is mentioned under his throne name in the priestly annals of Karnak . In the opinion of Jean Yoyotte he is the "Pharaoh Osorkon", who is called the priest family tree installed in the roof of the Chon temple in Karnak. He is also likely listed in the Memphis Priest Family Tree. After that, he was a Libyan in Tanitic King episode ( Herhor to Pinotsem III. According to the list of high priest in Thebes) and precursor of the Libyan pharaohs in the Egyptian throne.

family

According to this, his mother is Mehitusechet and his father of the "great man of the Meschwesch-Libyans" Scheschonq and thus a brother of the "great man of the Meschwesch " Namilt (I.) Scheschonq I , the founder of the 22nd dynasty , was his nephew.
