Ossypenko ( Ukrainian Осипенко ; Russian Осипенко Ossipenko ) is a village in the southeast of the Ukrainian Oblast of Zaporizhia with about 4600 inhabitants (2004).

The village, founded in 1802 as Novospassowka , was given its present name in her honor in 1939 after the death of the Soviet aviator Polina Denisovna Ossipenko, who was born here in 1907 . It is the only village of the same name, 179.887 km² large district council in Berdjansk Raion .

Ossypenko is mainly located on the left bank of the 130 km long Berda 14 km from its confluence with the Azov Sea . On the opposite bank of the river was the formerly German-speaking Swabian colonies of Neu-Hope , which is now part of the village.

Ossypenko is located on the M 14 / E 58 trunk road between the Berdyansk district center, 21 km south, and the city of Mariupol, 63 km north-east . The Zaporizhia Oblast Center is 190 km northwest of Osypenko.
