The PGZ09 (alternative designation Type 09 ) is a Chinese fully autonomous , all-weather combat anti - aircraft tank that has been manufactured by Norinco since 2007 .
The PGZ09 is armed with two 35 mm cannons and optionally two infrared guided anti-aircraft missiles. The PGZ09 is gradually replacing its predecessor, the PGZ95 . Some military analysts referred to the vehicle as Type 07, but the official designation was confirmed as Type 09 at the themed exhibition marking the 90th anniversary of the Chinese People's Liberation Army.
