Pablo Armitano

Pablo Armitano (born November 25, 1924 in Puerto Cabello ; † February 10, 1998 in Caracas ) was a Venezuelan trumpeter, military bandmaster and music teacher.

Armitano studied music at the Escuela de Música Militares del Ejército with Carlos Bonnet and at the Escuela de Música JA Lamas . From 1940 to 1946 he was first trumpeter of the Banda del Regimiento de Artillería Ayacucho No. 1 . From 1960 to 1967 he directed the orchestra of the Bolívar Regiment No. 3 , from 1961 to 1967 the Orchestra of the Honor Guard of the President of the Republic.

He performed with the orchestras of Luis Alfonzo Larrain (1946–49), Aldemaro Romero (1949–51) and Pedro J. Belisario (1951–55) and from 1955 to 1960 he directed his own orchestra. From 1964 he was a trumpeter in the orchestra of Venevisión . From 1979 to 1981 he was a member of the Caracas Philharmonic Orchestra.
