Palestine salutaris
Palaestina Salutaris (also: Palaestina III ) was a province of the Roman Empire in late antiquity with the capital Petra . It roughly covered the area of the Sinai Peninsula , which had previously belonged to the imperial province of Arabia Petraea . Created after the administrative reform of the emperor Diocletian , Palestina Salutaris was initially part of the province of Syria Phoenice and assigned to the diocese of Oriens .
