Palinody
A palinody (from the Greek παλινῳδία = revocation ) is a poetic process developed in antiquity in which the content of another existing poem is turned into its opposite while maintaining its formal characteristics .
The palinody of Stesichoros was famous in antiquity , who, according to legend , had been punished with blindness for a poem insulting Helena , but who was revoked to regain his sight .
Later, Palinodie was generally used to withdraw insults or expressions of opinion of any kind.
