Paolo Farinato

Paolo Farinato (* 1524 in Verona ; † 1606 ibid) was an Italian painter and architect .

Farinato learned from Niccolo Giolfino , but educated himself more after Paolo Veronese and Giulio Romano . Rich ingenuity, bold, if not correct drawing and a harmonious and varied color scheme characterize him; his works consist of oil paintings and frescoes .

In the choir of San Nazaro in Verona there are extensive frescoes by him, in San Giovanni in Fonte there is the baptism of Christ, in San Giorgio Maggiore the miraculous feeding (1603), in the Berlin museum the representation in the temple.
