Parvati Shallow (born September 21, 1982 in Vero Beach , Florida ) is an American boxer who became known in the United States for the television series Survivor , in which she won one million US dollars.

Life

Shallow was born in Vero Beach, the oldest of four children. She moved to Atlanta with her family when she was eleven years old. She attended the University of Georgia and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism in French and Italian . While in college, she was a member of the Alpha Omicron Pi Sisterhood.

In 2004 Shallow started boxing and founded the Knockouts for Girls organization for disadvantaged women with other boxers . The women receive lessons in self-defense . From 2006 to 2010 she was in the CBS series Survivor in 47 episodes in front of the camera and competed with other participants in special competitions. In the action film Into the Blue 2 - Das goldene Riff , the sequel to Into the Blue , a direct-to-DVD production , she stood in front of the camera with her then competitor Amanda Kimmel and played herself.
