Pascal Blanc

Pascal Blanc is an autochthonous white wine variety from Provence in France . The variety is ideal for growing in arid areas with fertile soils. In viticulture , however, the variety no longer plays a role, as it is extremely susceptible to raw rot and powdery mildew . The variety is permitted in the appellations Cassis and Palette . The variety is also permitted in the wines of the Côtes du Ventoux appellation until 2014 . It makes relatively neutral white wines and is only used in blends with other types. Officially, a forested area of ​​around one hectare was reported. The variety is currently not being replanted. There is also a red grape called Pascal Noir .
