Pat boat

Vernon Patrick "Pat" Boot (born October 22, 1914 in Kaikoura , † January 5, 1947 in Gisborne ) was a New Zealand middle-distance runner .

At the Olympic Games in Berlin in 1936 , he was eliminated over 800 m in the semifinals.

In 1938 at the British Empire Games in Sydney he won gold over 880 yards and bronze in the mile run with personal bests of 1: 51.2 min (corresponds to 1: 50.5 min over 800 m) and 4: 12.6 min.
