As pathognomonic ( Greek  παθογνωμονικός pathognomonikós 'characterizing a certain illness' or also pathognostic , Greek from πάθος pathos 'disease' and γιγνώσκω gignósko 'recognize, understand') one describes a symptom in medicine that is already sufficient for a safe alone Diagnosis is because it only occurs in one specific disease.
