Patrick Nuo (born August 31, 1982 in Lucerne ) is a Swiss singer .

Life

Patrick Nuo was born in Lucerne, Switzerland, as the son of a Swiss woman and a Kosovar Albanian . He spent his childhood in his birthplace and in Luthern . Nuo moved from the Lucerne area to Hamburg , where he wanted to start a career as a musician . Before his solo career, he was a background singer . He also worked as a model for charity events and corporations. He has lived in Los Angeles for several years and works internationally.

Nuo was married to the American actress Molly Schade from 2005 until the divorce in 2011. With her he has a daughter and a son.

Artistic career

His first two singles ( 5 Days and Reanimate ) made it into the top 25 of the charts . The album landed at 13th place in the German album charts and eleventh place in Switzerland. In 2003 he appeared at the World Awards . In the same year he won the Bravo Otto and in 2004 the Radio Rainbow Award . In 2004 he sang his song Undone at the Echo Awards . Also in 2004 he took part in the band project “ Signs of the Times” and contributed the title Underwater .

As a Swiss he took part in the German preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest 2004 , but did not reach any of the top three places in the first round. In 2005 his second album Superglue came out, which landed at number four in Switzerland and is therefore his most successful album. His single Beautiful also made it into the top 10.

In 2006 he starred in nine episodes of the telenovela series Lotta in Love on ProSieben . After his acting debut, he released the first single Watchin 'over You from his new album Nuo , which was released in 2007. The single made it into the top 50 in Switzerland and Germany. The album did not reach the top 100 of the German album charts. In Switzerland, however, it reached number 66.

On December 13, 2007, he was seen on ProSieben in the second season of Stars on Ice . There he took second place with his partner Pauline Schubert and also sang the song Finally from his album Nuo . Nuo now writes all of his songs himself.

Nuo was a member of the jury for the eighth season of Deutschland sucht den Superstar (DSDS) in 2011 . In the TV total high diving on November 12, 2011, he took third place. From 2009 to 2011 Nuo took part regularly as a field player for FC St. Pauli Allstars in the charity game Kicken mit Herz in the Hoheluft Stadium in Hamburg .

In 2013, Nuo participated in the seventh season of I'm a Celebrity - Get Me Out of Here! , where he finished fifth and addressed his porn addiction .
