Patrick Shannon
Patrick Shannon (born April 10, 1977 in Wexford ) is an Irish skeleton driver .
Patrick Shannon lives in Dublin . He has been running skeleton since 2003. The first international race was a European Skeleton Cup in Altenberg (38th). In the following seasons he competed in European Cup and America's Cup races . The Irishman made his World Cup debut in November 2006 at a race in Calgary , where he finished 34th. At the Skeleton World Championships 2007 in St. Moritz he did not compete despite reports, at the Skeleton European Championships 2007 in Königssee he reached 22nd place. His best result in the World Cup, a 27th place, and thus for the first time World Cup points, Shannon achieved in the the following season at the race in Cesana Pariol . At the European Skeleton Championships in 2008 , he finished 17th.
