Paul Augé

Paul Augé (born July 4, 1881 in L'Isle-Jourdain (Gers) , † 1951 in Cabourg ) was a French publisher , Romanist and lexicographer.

Life

In 1920 Paul Augé took over the publication of the dictionaries and encyclopedias of the Larousse editions from his father Claude Augé . His works are the six-volume Larousse du XXe siècle (Paris 1928–1933, Supplement 1953) and the two-volume Nouveau Larousse universel (1948). Augé successfully continued the Petit Larousse illustré founded by his father (annual new edition since 1905).
