Renovated return frescoes in the Bremgarten town church

Paul Widerkehr (* 1580 ; † 1649 ) was a Swiss artist from Bremgarten . His works are counted among the late Renaissance . His works include the murals of the Church of St. Leodegar in Schönenwerd from 1628, the frescoes in the choir and in the nave of the town church of St. Nicholas from 1630 in Bremgarten. The frescoes had been painted over since 1780 when the church was baroque and were badly damaged by a church fire in 1984 and completely destroyed in the choir. There are also works by him in the Hermetschwil monastery .
