Pavol mutton
Pavol Hammel (born December 7, 1948 in Bratislava ) is a Slovak composer , singer , musician and producer .
He comes from a musical family. His father, a violinist of the Slovak National Theater , introduced him to music . In his youth he studied violin. As a member of a railway orchestra, he played folk music, classical and modern dance songs.
At the age of sixteen he started playing the guitar , which became his main instrument. In 1963 he founded the group Prudy (German: streams ) to which from 1967 also Marián Varga belonged. The first song "Spievam si pieseň" (I sing a song) was released in 1965. The band's lyrics were Kamil Peteraj and Boris Filan, with whom Pavol Hammel still works today. Since 1972, Hammel recorded five separate albums with Marián Varga.
In 1994 he founded the Rock Pop Bratislava agency , and in 1999 another named Rock Production Bratislava , with which he also works to this day. Otherwise Pavol Hammel produces with the Slovak music company Opus .
In 1978 Hammel received the Bratislavská lýra Prize in silver and in 1988 in bronze. In 2009 he was honored with the Pavel Strauss Prize for 2008 in Nitra .
In 1976 Pavol Hammel finished his law studies at the Comenius University in Bratislava . He is married and has two daughters.
