Pello Bilbao Lopez de Armentia (born February 25, 1990 in Guernica ) is a Spanish cyclist .

Athletic career

In 2007 Pello Bilbao first attracted attention when he won the fourth stage of the Vuelta Pamplona for juniors. In 2011 he received a contract with the UCI ProTeam Euskaltel-Euskadi . In 2012 he reached tenth place overall at the Vuelta a Asturias . 2015 was his most successful year to date when he won the Tour de Beauce and one stage each at the Vuelta a Castilla y León and the Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey . The following year, he again decided a stage of the tour of Turkey for himself.

For the 2017 season, Bilbao switched to the Astana Pro Team after driving for the Caja Rural-Seguros RGA for three years . At the Giro d'Italia 2019 , he won the seventh and 20th stages.
