Peter Joseph Lenné Prize
The Peter Joseph Lenné Prize is an open, one-stage ideas competition for students and young professionals from the fields of garden and landscape architecture, architecture, science and art. It is considered to be the world's largest ideas competition of its kind and is intended to promote and support the development of young planners.
The namesake is the garden artist Peter Joseph Lenné .
Offer of a reward
The Peter Joseph Lenné Prize has been awarded by the Berlin Senate since 1965 . Since 2010, the process has only taken place every two years. The participants in the competition must not be older than 35 years.
Prize and awards
The Peter-Joseph-Lenné Prize is awarded to the best work in three categories
- Area A garden and landscape architecture
- Area B Urban green space planning
- Area C landscape planning
Other particularly good designs are honored with a Peter-Joseph-Lenné recognition. Contributions with particularly good uses of plants in terms of design and ecology can be awarded a Karl Förster recognition by the Karl Förster Foundation. All prizes are awarded by the jury, which is composed of several specialist planners.
