Peter Krenn (art historian)

Peter Krenn (* 1937 in Graz ) is an Austrian art historian .

Krenn studied art history , German and archeology in Graz and Vienna. From 1962 Krenn worked as an assistant at the Alte Galerie of the Landesmuseum Joanneum under its director Kurt Woisetschläger and completed a traineeship in weapons science at the Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna under Bruno Thomas . Krenn was head of the Landeszeughaus from 1968 to 2002 . In 1975 he received a teaching position for general art history at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz.
