Peter Kuschel

Peter Kuschel (born April 30, 1940 in Trebnitz ) is a German sculptor and painter .

Life

Kuschel came to the Sulzbach-Rosenberg area after the end of the war in 1945 . He first attended the technical school for wood sculptors in Oberammergau and then studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg from 1958 to 1964 in the class of Hans Wimmer .

Since 1964 he has been working as a freelance artist in Etzelwang . Together with Hans Wuttig and others he founded the " Group 81 " in Sulzbach-Rosenberg . Kuschel created numerous sculptures, reliefs and fountains in public and sacred spaces. In addition to sculptural work, he also shows his paintings in exhibitions.

Kuschel is a member of the BBK regional association of Bavaria. His wife is from Japan. The marriage with her in 1978 resulted in a son and a daughter.
