Peter Rodert (born September 11, 1947 ) was a football player in the GDR Oberliga , the top division of the East German Football Association. He played there for FC Hansa Rostock , and also played four international junior matches.

Soccer career

In 1965 Peter Rodert was part of the SC Empor Rostock junior team. On October 7, 1965, he played his first of four international junior matches in the GDR-Hungary encounter. When FC Hansa Rostock (successor to SC Empor) rose in 1967 with its second team in the second-rate GDR league , Rodert was one of the regulars there in the second half of the 1967/68 season as a left winger. Also in the following season 1968/69 he was in 23 missions on the left wing of the 2nd team. From May 1969 to November 1970 Rodert had to do his military service, but during this time he was able to continue playing football with the army sports community Vorwärts Neubrandenburg . After his return he immediately held his regular position at Hansa II until the end of the preliminary round in 1970/71. In the second half of the season, Rodert took over from the weak Gerd Kostmann as the center forward in the FC Hansa league team. Although he was used in eleven league games, he failed to score. 1971/72 Rodert was used only sporadically and mostly only as a substitute in the league. In 1972 Rodert had reached the low point of his league career, between September and October he only played four league games and then only played in the second team.

After 25 league games with just one goal and numerous appearances in the 2nd team at Hansa Rostock, Rodert moved to GDR league club BSG Schiffahrt / Hafen Rostock in 1974 . There he played within four seasons 86 of 88 played point games, initially as a striker, from 1976 as a left defender. After the conclusion of the 1977/78 season, he ended his career as a competitive soccer player. He then helped out as a recreational footballer at the third-rate BSG Rotes Banner Trinwillershagen . In 2009 Rodert was still part of the SV Warnemünde over 50 team.
