Quirin Peter Wallenborn (born March 30, 1848 in Bitburg ; † May 16, 1917 in Berlin-Südende or Remagen ) was a farmer and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Wallenborn attended the elementary school in Bitburg, the grammar schools in Trier and Münstereifel and the University of Bonn from 1868 to 1870. There he studied classical philology and philosophy. Forced to give up his studies due to persistent sickness, he devoted himself to agricultural employment, especially fruit-growing, as well as public affairs and the history of his homeland. He was first alderman in his hometown and a member of the Catholic Church Council until he moved to Remagen1909. He was also a member of the Bitburg District Committee between 1888 and 1902, of the Rhenish Provincial Parliament (1888–1894 and 1905/06) and the Rhenish Chamber of Agriculture since its existence. He was also a member of the board of the Rheinische, for many years deputy, since October 1911 first chairman of the Trier farmers' association.

From 1894 until his death he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives and from 1896 of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Koblenz 5 ( Mayen , Ahrweiler ) and the German Center Party . The mandates ended with his death. In 1913 he was made an honorary citizen of Bitburg, where a street is named after him.
