Petra Kabus

Petra Kabus (* 1963 in Cottbus ; † December 23, 2013 in Cottbus) was a German German scholar , author and editor .

Live and act

Petra Kabus studied German, English and education at the Humboldt University in Berlin . In 1992, she was with a thesis on Hans Jakob Christoffel von Grimmelshausen at the University of Potsdam Dr. phil. PhD . From 1994 she worked as a freelance academic writer and editor.

Petra Kabus was a research assistant at the Center for Contemporary History in Potsdam and a member of the Jean Paul Edition of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences . She was the project manager of the state campaigns " Kulturland Brandenburg : Romantik" (2002) and "Kulturland Brandenburg: Landschaft und Gardens" (2004) and an employee of the Fürst-Pückler-Park Foundation .

Her work focused on the German literary history of the 19th and 20th centuries, the literature of the 19th century in Berlin and Brandenburg, and GDR and contemporary history .
