Petra Maak

Petra Maak (born Sander ; born July 16, 1964 in Düsseldorf ) is a German long-distance runner .

Career

In 1991 she finished second in the German Marathon Championship , and in 1992 she took the same place in the Munich Marathon . In 1993 she was third in the Echternach Marathon , and in 1995 and 1996 she won the Bienwald Marathon .

She celebrated her greatest success in 1997 at the Regensburg Marathon , where she became the overall winner of the German Marathon Champion .

In 2003 she was third in the Paderborn Easter run on the half marathon route . In 2004, 2006 and 2009 she won the Nürburgring race . She also won the 2004 three-country marathon over the half -marathon distance and in 2006 the New Year's Eve run from Werl to Soest .

On April 25, 2010, she won the Düsseldorf Bridge Run in the women's championship with a new course record over the 10 kilometer route with 36:38 minutes.

In October 2015 she won the 6.6 kilometer race at the Silkworm Cross in Krefeld . Over the same distance, she finished second in October 2018 behind Esther Jacobitz , who has won the competition three times in a row since 2016.

Petra Maak is a qualified sports teacher and employed by the Neuss district sports association . She started for the LAV Bayer Uerdingen / Dormagen from 1986 to 1994 , for the ASC Rosellen / Neuss from 1995 to 1998 and then moved back to TSV Bayer Dormagen.
