description

View of the high altar

The outside of the hall church is structured by plaster-cut pilasters . The squat late Gothic church tower with a high tent roof is slightly positioned in the western part of the church building. The church interior is four-bay and has a three-eighth connection . It is spanned by a barrel vault with a belt arch resting on pilasters . The strong pilasters have heavy capitals . The three-axis swinging gallery is located in the western end of the nave and rests on a spear cap barrel .

Most of the interior furnishings probably date from the construction period around 1766. The high altar bears the coat of arms of Raimund von Saurau . There are also two side altars. The pulpit , attributed to Johann Piringer , shows reliefs of the evangelists and of Simon Petrus as a fisherman. The organ installed by Ferdinand Schwarz in 1773 bears the coat of arms of the Saurau family and is in its original condition. The holy water stoup dates from 1655. In the vaults and the window reveals there are decorative paintings in the Rococo style, as well as depictions of church fathers and saints in the picture fields and a portrait of King David behind the organ .
