PhanTECHNIKUM
The phanTECHNIKUM is the exhibition center of the Technical State Museum Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in Wismar .
The technology history of the Mecklenburg and Western Pomerania region is presented interactively on over 3,000 m² of exhibition space.
Thanks to the integration of numerous experiment stations, the exhibition is largely interactive and accessible. The focus of the exhibition is on the thematic areas of the elements fire, water and air. Different groups are addressed with special offers and services in order to give them the opportunity to encounter the exhibition in their own way.
Special exhibition areas deal with national and international technology history. Technical innovations for war and destruction are questioned. The ethical and moral responsibility for developing technology is discussed.
Special exhibitions aim to present the own holdings in the depot temporarily and together with loans from Germany and abroad and to present special topics on the technical history of the country. In addition, special exhibitions offer excellent opportunities to highlight current scientific and technical developments and important social discourses.
