Philip Andersen
Philip Andersen (born November 16, 1980 in Aarhus ) is a former Danish racing driver .
Racing career
After starting out in karting , Philip Andersen's monoposto career began in 1999 in Formula Ford . After finishing fifth in the Danish Formula Ford Championship in 2000 , he switched to Formula Renault in 2001 . He won the Scandinavian Formula Renault Championship twice in a row, in 2001 and 2002 .
In 2003 he switched to touring car racing and competed in the Danish championship . He drove there until the end of the 2007 season, then he retired from racing. His best championship placement was eighth in 2006 (Master Casper Elgaard ahead of Jan Magnussen and John Nielsen ). In 2006 he was also a partner of Nielsen and Elgaard at the 24 Hours of Le Mans . The trio was not classified in the Zytek 06S . His best result in an international race came from 2006. Again together with Elgaard and Nielsen in the Zytek 06S, he finished the 1000 km race at Spa-Francorchamps in third place in the overall standings.
