Philosophical Dictionary (Brugger-Schöndorf)

The Philosophical Dictionary is the name of of Walter Brugger first time in 1947 at Herder laid dictionary . After numerous editions, it was completely revised in 2010 by Harald Schöndorf .

The dictionary is based on the classical tradition of philosophy , the terminology and questions of which continue to have an impact on contemporary philosophy. A special feature of the dictionary is the history of philosophy appendix, which lists a large number of important thinkers from antiquity to the present in a concise overview and assigns them to the direction they represent. The various articles are largely written by professors from the Munich University of Philosophy .
