Philtrum Press

Philtrum Press is an American small publisher based in Bangor, Maine , operated by the writer Stephen King . Philtrum Press publishes works by King at irregular intervals , mostly in the form of collectibles and (mostly) signed, numbered and limited single editions. The only edition not by Stephen King to date has been the novel The Ideal, Genuine Man by Don Robertson .

So far, the following books have been published through Philtrum Press:

  • Stephen King, The Plant , 1982, 1983 and 1985, the first three parts of the sequel story
  • Stephen King, Die Augen des Drachen , 1984, the illustrated first edition of the novel in a limited edition of 1,250 pieces
  • Don Robertson, The Ideal, Genuine Man , 1987
  • Stephen King, Six Stories , 1997, 1,100 numbered and signed copies, 900 of which have been sold to the public
  • Stephen King, The New Lieutenant's Rap , 1999, as an early extract from the novel Atlantis
