Pidder Auberger

Pidder Auberger (* 1946 in Dinslaken - Lohberg ; actually Johann Peter Auberger ; † 2012 in Burbach / Westerwald ) was a German visual artist and photographer .

After graduating from high school in 1967 at the Collegium Augustinianum Gaesdonck in Goch , Auberger studied from 1970 to 1975 at the State Art Academy in Düsseldorf . He worked as a freelance artist and lived in Düsseldorf and in the Westerwald .

Since 1977, Auberger's works have been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions at home and abroad. The exhibition Pidder Auberger - Photographs and Woodcuts in the Essen Museum Folkwang in spring 2011 received a lot of attention .

An obituary for the artist by Herbert Molderings was published in the "Gaesdoncker Blätter" 2011/12.
