Piero Ghione

Piero Ghione (actually Pierfrancesco Ghione , * 1911 in Rome , † 1982 in Nettuno ) was an Italian film producer .

Life

Ghione was the son of the actor and silent film director Emilio Ghione . His first contribution to film history was an acting engagement in 1947. Most of the time, however, he stayed on the other side of the camera and after engagements worked as assistant director and occasional producer as production manager from 1961 to 1975. He concentrated on genre films. In 1963 he was responsible for a documentary film as a director with Luigi Mangini . Dagli zar alla bandiera rossa dealt with recent Russian history.
