Pyotr Matveyevich Apraxin
Pyotr Matveyevich Apraksin ( Russian Пётр Матвеевич Апраксин * 1659 , † May 29. . Jul / 9. June 1728 greg. In Saint Petersburg ) was a lieutenant general of the Russian army .
Life
Apraxin was the son of Matwej Apraxin, who fell in the battle against the Kalmyks in 1678 , his younger sister Marsa Apraxina († 1715) had been the wife of Fjodor III since 1682 .
Peter Apraxin accompanied Tsar Peter the Great to Holland in 1697 . Later he was active in the fight against the Strelitzen and took part in the war against the Swedes as a lieutenant general . At the trial of Alexei Petrovich , Apraxin was also arrested, but then acquitted.
