In the south, Pobeda borders on the Poda nature reserve through the area of the Burgas shipyard .

The quarter is home to the city's former freshwater springs, from which the city was supplied by water carriers until the 19th century. A Thracian settlement existed in this area from the 6th to the 2nd century BC. Served as the emporion (market) of Apollonia Pontica .

The current Pobeda district was created during the industrialization of Burgas. First dock workers and water carriers settled there. Several factories were later set up there. The majority of today's population are Sinti and Roma .
