Point Diablo Light is a nautical sign at Point Diablo, which is about halfway between Lime Point Light Station and Point Bonita Light on the edge of the Golden Gate .
Point Diablo Light was built in 1923 by a decision of the United States Lighthouse Service in the form of a small white building around 15 meters above the water level in the middle of the cliff. The signal station, which can be reached from the water via a steep staircase, was connected to the Lime Point Light Station via a telephone and a power cable. This enabled the guards at the Lime Point facility to monitor the correct operation of Point Diablo Light and to remotely operate the facility. Once a week, Point Diablo Light was serviced by the Lime Point Light Station crew. Initially equipped with two lens-reinforced lanterns and an electric siren, the system is now equipped with an automated and solar-powered beacon and a fog horn.
