Polished red

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Polishing red is a polishing agent. It is used in the technical and artistic fields to polish hard materials such as metals, glass and stone . Polishing red is particularly valued for its delicacy and the very high quality polish it produces. It is produced by glowing iron (II) oxide from clover , by precipitating iron (II) oxide from sulfur with oxalic acid . Depending on the degree of glowing heat, different nuances are obtained (light red, brown red, reddish brown to dark purple) and corresponding degrees of hardness . Because of its special use, the dark purple polished red is also called steel blush, the light red gold blush.
