occupation

Resturlaub is a German crime film by Hannu Salonen from 2005. The television film was released as the 266th episode of the film series Polizeiruf 110 and was produced for the NDR under the direction of Andreas Kleinert . Chief Detective Jens Hinrichs ( Uwe Steimle ) is investigating in his 23rd case. For his colleague Tobias Törner ( Henry Hübchen ) it is the 4th case in Schwerin .

action

The Schwerin police chief inspectors Hinrichs and Törner do not have to solve a murder this time. Törner is supposed to take care of the actually grown-up Lilly. For his part, he had taken her father to prison and when he recently committed suicide there, he asked Törner to take care of his daughter. Törner is not very enthusiastic, but he likes the refreshing and cheeky nature of Lilly. However, he gradually has to realize that he is only being used by the girl and that she seems to have the criminal energy of her father. While she wants to make him believe that she is bringing a donation of clothing to a Lithuanian orphanage, she secretly surrenders stolen limousines for a car door ring. Törner only finds out when he quickly takes the remaining leave and goes to Lilly to support her allegedly so selfless work. He confronts Lilly and tries to make it clear to her that she has to fix her life if she doesn't want to go under. She is insightful and wants to help Törner to arrest the gang of car smugglers if she gets away with it.

Hinrichs meanwhile only has to do with property crimes and is not averse to finally bringing a little "action" into his daily work. Together with a special commission of the LKA they want to arrest the long-sought car smugglers, but when they get to their hiding place, nobody is there anymore and Lilly has also disappeared. She just ran away and left Törner at a loss.

criticism

The critics of the TV magazine TV Spielfilm gave the best rating (thumbs up) and said:

"A wonderfully melancholy tragic comedy from the edge of the republic."
"More of a character study than a crime thriller, but good."
