Appearance with guest singer Patti Pattex (Scattergun & Cut my Skin) at Resist to Exist 2017

In 1989 the group was founded from a former school band. They became known as a German punk band with strong metal and hardcore influences. In October 1994 the first recordings were made at the Kultursyndikat in Bitburg . After Nasty vinyl had reported to the band, they went in January 1996 by Hannover in the Lost & Found studios to Kalashnikov Blues and When the Troops ... receive.

Over the years, Popperklopper also increasingly turned to rock 'n' roll . This is reinforced by partly German, partly English sung texts with socially critical and personal texts. In 2005 the band toured Russia for two weeks , they also played concerts in Sweden , England , France and Belgium .

In 2010 the band celebrated its 20th anniversary and released a DVD with video material on this occasion . The band is now under contract with the Aggressive Punk Productions label .

In March 2012, the band performed in the ZDF telecast neoParadise on.
