The art history portal is an online magazine founded in 2000 for the German-speaking area.
Content
It provides up-to-date information with a scientific perspective on all aspects of art and art history , and is aimed both at the university audience of teachers and students, as well as at those working in culture and those interested in art. Freelance workers report regularly on the art scene in Germany , Austria and Switzerland . The offer on the website includes book reviews , exhibition reviews , an event calendar, an internship and job market. A free newsletter is also published every fortnight .

The initiator and publisher of the online magazine was the VDG Weimar based in Kromsdorf . The magazine has been run by a team of three from Vienna since 2019. According to the company, the portal has 40,000 individual users per month.
