The Prague Stock Exchange (Czech: Burza cenných papírů Praha ) is a stock exchange in Prague . It is operated by the Vienna Stock Exchange. It was founded on November 24, 1992 and is the main organizer for the stock market in the Czech Republic . Trading in stocks on the Prague Stock Exchange is based on membership, which means that only approved traders have access to the trading system.

The Austrian Erste Bank became the first foreign listed company on October 1, 2002 . With the membership of the Czech Republic in the EU on May 1, 2004, the Prague Stock Exchange automatically became a full member of FESE .
