Prussian Historical Commission

The Prussian Historical Commission (PHK) is a historical commission founded in 1977 in Berlin . It is a member of the Working Group of Historical Research Institutions in the Federal Republic of Germany and maintains contacts with the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation and the Secret State Archive of Prussian Cultural Heritage . The task of the commission is to research Prussia from the 12th century onwards. The association currently has over 40 members who hold a general meeting each year. a. Jürgen Angelow , Ludwig Biewer , Christopher Clark , Enno Eimers , Ewald Frie , Winfrid Halder , Wilhelm Kohl , Jürgen Kloosterhuis , Andreas Kossert , Hans-Christof Kraus , Bernhard R. Kroener , Sönke Neitzel , Klaus Neitmann , Ingo Sommer and Andreas Thier .

Since 1991, the historical journal Researches on Brandenburg and Prussian History (FBPG) and the 23-volume series Sources and Research on Brandenburg and Prussian History - both by historians Wolfgang Neugebauer and Frank-Lothar Kroll - have been published by Duncker & Humblot . In addition, since 1992 Duncker & Humblot has published the supplements to FBPG, which are supposed to show the results of the annual meetings, as well as a nine-volume series New Research on Brandenburg-Prussian History from 1979 to 1988 by Böhlau Verlag .
