Orders

The Primatomorpha are a taxon established on the basis of molecular genetic studies within the higher mammals . They emerged about 86.2 million years ago together with the shrews (Scandentia) as Euarchonta from the group of Euarchontoglires .

About 79.6 million years ago they split up into the two mammalian orders primates and giant gliders (Dermoptera).
