criticism

Wishful Drinking received mostly positive reviews. In January 2009, the New York Times described the novel as "a fun, sardonic little memoir". Oliver Roscher wrote on News.de : “Princess Leia strikes back is a funny and cynical reckoning with one's own life without losing hope that everything will turn out for the better. The reader gets the impression of a story as the cheesiest of all Hollywood scripts could not have drafted better. With Darth Vader as father and Luke Skywalker as brother, your life probably wouldn't have been half as entertaining. "

documentary

On December 11, 2010, the cable broadcaster HBO released a documentary of the stage show, directed by Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato. The film was released on DVD on September 13, 2011.
