Prix ​​mondial Cino Del Duca

The Prix ​​mondial Cino Del Duca (International Cino Del Duca Prize) is a major literary award that was launched in France in 1969 by Simone Del Duca (1912–2004) . The award is named after her late husband, the publishing magnate Cino Del Duca (1899–1967). The Prix mondial Cino Del Duca honors writers whose literary or scientific works contribute to spreading messages of modern humanism . The prize money is 200,000 euros (as of 2019).

Responsible for awarding the Prix mondial Cino Del Luca is the Simone and Cino Del Duca Foundation, founded in 1975 by Simone Del Duca, which is dedicated to various philanthropic causes. After her death in 2004, the foundation was placed under the auspices of the Institut de France . There, the prize is primarily awarded for literary achievement, but the jury is made up of members from all sections of the Institut de France.

There is also a Foundation Prize for Archeology, one for Art, and one for Science.
